Jeremy & Hillary – Key Largo

Jeremy and Hillary were getting married in Key Largo… “would you be willing to shoot our wedding???”

hmmmm, let me think… I guess I could travel down to that dump for a day or two haha

What an awesome location for a little get away wedding. Small weddings like this are great because they really bring family together, and it feels all the more special. On a beach…. in June… in record high heat (yeah, record highs for Florida… you know thats GOT to be hot!!!) they got married.

I was also given the task of shooting a video for this wedding that they could play at the reception back in Ohio to show their guests what it was like.

I hope to go back soon!!! My wife and I fell in love with the 86 degree bath water they filled the Gulf up with every day.

PS….. if you are ever in Key Largo, do not drive the extra hours to see Key West. There are some very pretty houses (especially Ernest Hemingway’s) and some really cool old banyan trees… but for the most part it is a tourist trap. My two cents….

I am just now getting around to putting up some photos from the day. Although it was a HOT and sticky day…. everything went smoothly and they were troopers with the heat. One problem I came across was going from the 64 degree AC to 97 degree 100% humidity was not cool for the lenses. Had to sit my gear outside 15 minutes prior to needing in to order to allow the lenses to heat up and de-fog. Be ready for stuff like that! The sunset we had to work with this night was beautiful! Soooo glad we could take advantage of it

Mike and Sarah were a joy to shoot. It is not often that I show up and find a bride and groom completely calm. They were relaxed all day, and I think that was part of their plan. They were saving all of their energy for the party later on. I was warned about a few of the guys... and they did not disappoint :) It is always a blast to stick around to the end when everybody is enjoying themselves. Thanks again guys for such a great day. So glad I could be a part of it!
Marc and Katherine
Marc and Katherine make quite the classy couple. I knew from our engagement shoot back in the day that they were going to have a lot of fun on their wedding day and they didn't disappoint. A lot of guests were there to witness them get married and have fun right along with them. Despite temperatures nearing those of the earth's core, humidity at steam engine levels, a party bus with no A/C and a broken door... they pushed through and were able to make the most of it. Before the ceremony during their first look, Marc gave Katherine a pendant that was his mothers. You could tell it meant a lot to both of them as their eyes teared up. On a lig ...
