Jayce and Kristin

Jayce and Kristin…..

I knew from the very first time I talked with Kristin that I was going to have a lot of fun at their wedding. Jayce and Kristin love life… and are not afraid to have some fun. But, they were not all jokes. There was a real sense of how special this day really was. After Jayce teared up just standing next to his grandparents for some formal shots, I knew he had a big heart. Kristin was not without her share of tears… but it is always nice to see the guys get emotional.

Thankfully they were willing to jog a good 4 Iron’s distance UPHILL to get what I think are the best shots of the day with the tree. I think Jayce cramped up slightly after returning.

Also, me being a dog lover… it was great to see that Kristin made a point of getting her dog ‘Roxy’ escorted to the clubhouse to be sure she was included in the day. Now… it was a little weird to see the dog sitting at the head table though. And letting Roxy ‘cut’ the cake was just one step over the top. If you were not at the event… rest assured none of the above happened.

Below is a little chunk of this wonderful day… I had a hard time narrowing it down to about ~30 shots… ended up with 45 for the blog.

They are still crying about Rich Rodriguez leaving them to coach Michigan... but with Rich's record against OSU... we were happy to see him leave. Dusk is always a great time to shoot and I always try to get some shots then... but most times dusk occurs halfway through the reception and I have already 'gotten' most of the photos earlier in the day... at this point anything I shoot would just be a bonus. But, when you step outside a ...

Lianne + Nate
Nate and Lianne got hosed weather-wise on their wedding day. The days before and after were not too bad, but on their day, it rained, snowed, sleeted, and most likely hailed at some point. Plus it was in the low 30s with 30mph winds. Not the spring wedding they had in mind. Despite all of this... they kept their heads up and enjoyed the day thoroughly! It was a blast to hang out with these two and be a part of their wedding, damp or not!
