Paul and Hilary

Paul and Hilary had a brilliant wedding with lots of fun and laughter. Hilary was beaming the whole day, and Paul had a smirk on his face like he knew he was getting the better half of the deal (no to take away from Paul… but she is gorgeous).

I had a lot of fun shooting this wedding, and the locations they chose for getting ready and photos were great. Anytime I can get out of a hotel room and into something different I am happy. They got ready at a house in German Village, which sadly is no longer allowing wedding parties to get ready there.

This is probably my favorite wedding of the year so far and I am sure the photos will do their day justice.

Abby and Steve – Pittsburgh
Early in June I made a second trip to the charming Morning Glory Inn, which rests softly in the hard streets of south Pittsburgh. I photographed a wedding here a few years ago and have always remembered the Inn fondly. I was so happy to hear that Abby and Steve had seen the photos I did there and wanted to hire me to shoot there again. Abby and Steve are amazing people, with so much going for them at such an early age. In the evening I asked them when they would be having kids and they said 'ohh... we have a while.' I asked them how old they were because they seem so grown up and learned they were both 23! Steve is currently working on proje ...

Andrew and Caroline – Cleveland
Cinco de Mayo - We had a wonderful day for Caroline and Andrew's Cleveland wedding. As you can see, Caroline is very easy on the eyes, and hence my job gets that much easier. Point and shoot. They were married at the Old Stone Church downtown, which was full of charm and a perfect setting. After the wedding we headed to the lake to get some photos, but the 40mph gusts were not fun for the ladies so we went elsewhere. The ceremony was held near the airport at a historic 'bomb group' venue, which had tons of WWII photos. This was particularly appealing to me because my grandfather was a flight engineer on B-17's during the war. There were lots ...

Kent & Sarah
My job was made very easy this day. Couldn't ask for a better looking couple. My brother and I travelled to Morgantown, WV to photograph Sarah's wedding, which was set in the heart of the Mountaineer's campus. They are still crying about Rich Rodriguez leaving them to coach Michigan... but with Rich's record against OSU... we were happy to see him leave. Dusk is always a great time to shoot and I always try to get some shots then... but most times dusk occurs halfway through the reception and I have already 'gotten' most of the photos earlier in the day... at this point anything I shoot would just be a bonus. But, when you step outside a ...
