Andrew and Caroline – Cleveland

Cinco de Mayo – We had a wonderful day for Caroline and Andrew’s Cleveland wedding. As you can see, Caroline is very easy on the eyes, and hence my job gets that much easier. Point and shoot.

They were married at the Old Stone Church downtown, which was full of charm and a perfect setting. After the wedding we headed to the lake to get some photos, but the 40mph gusts were not fun for the ladies so we went elsewhere. The ceremony was held near the airport at a historic ‘bomb group’ venue, which had tons of WWII photos. This was particularly appealing to me because my grandfather was a flight engineer on B-17’s during the war. There were lots of photos of this particular plane, and their crews… and I was half expecting to stumble across a photo of my grandad, Ward, in his 20s. I didn’t see him, but may need to take a trip up there in the future when I can spend a lot of time and go through all of them.

Marc and Katherine
Marc and Katherine make quite the classy couple. I knew from our engagement shoot back in the day that they were going to have a lot of fun on their wedding day and they didn't disappoint. A lot of guests were there to witness them get married and have fun right along with them. Despite temperatures nearing those of the earth's core, humidity at steam engine levels, a party bus with no A/C and a broken door... they pushed through and were able to make the most of it. Before the ceremony during their first look, Marc gave Katherine a pendant that was his mothers. You could tell it meant a lot to both of them as their eyes teared up. On a lig ...

Backyard Wedding Bride and Groom holding hands - Hasselblad black and white film photography
Backyard Wedding Photos | Aurora Ohio | Ann + Marco
I always love a good backyard wedding. Some yards are better than others, and this one happened to be the best I had been to for a wedding. I traveled north to Aurora, Ohio earlier this summer to photograph this RAD couple. Ann and Marco really loved the look and feel of the film and paid a little extra to have me shoot some black and white film, and I am so glad they did. I need to shoot black and white film more. I absolutely LOVE how the photos turned out. When you see B&W film, you can recognize it immediately. There is a feel to it and the images just pop off your screen. The Hasselblad is partly to thank for that, with it's Zeiss le ...

Blake & Chelsea – Vermont
Blake and Chelsea are good friends of mine and I was honored to be able to shoot their wedding. The setting was in a charming old town in Vermont where Chelsea grew up. They had their ceremony in a historic theater with lots of character. I wish I had a little more time with them to take advantage of all the town had to offer, but the weather was not cooperative.  All in all it was a great day and I really enjoyed meeting their families. Best to the both of you!
