Hazel Lee

Our friends and neighbors two doors down recently had their third child, and wanted to get some photos of her in her first week of life. Having never taken baby photos, I really wasn’t sure how it would go. Heather showed me some photos that she liked, and the style she was looking for and I figured, I guess I’ll give it a shot. The shoot itself was a baby shoot and a family shoot wrapped into one. I had a lot of fun with the whole family and hope that the photos leave an impression on them both now, and as little Hazel Lee grows up!

I cld not be happier with how these turned out. You captured all of her perfect little details...perfectly. Without being staged. The whole process felt so comfortable and organic. I will truly cherish these memories forever. Thank you thank you for trying the whole newborn shoot out(: We are thrilled with our photos. You're incredible.

My first ALL FILM shoot. Left the digital cameras at home. It was amazing. Granted, I had the beautiful Swanson family to shoot... in an absolutely beautiful setting... with beautiful light... but I am pretty much thinking I don't need to shoot digital anymore. Why would you when you can get color like this! Loving the way the film cameras help me do my best work. Film forces you to be good. When everything comes together... it can not be beat. I mean, I feel like this first photo should be the first photo that pops up when you google 'Family Photo'

Another past wedding couple of mine has gone and had a kid!!! Fortunately for me, I had the opportunity to meet him and photograph him and his parents. We met on a cold autumn day here in Ohio and had some amazing light. Chase wasn't feeling so hot for the shoot, but we made the most of it and got some great photos! Love how these turned out! Only took film with me. Left the digital cameras at home!!!
