Lauren + Ryan
Rarely do you meet a couple that has such an impact on you. From the moment I met Ryan and Lauren, I knew they were truly special souls. During his interview, Ryan said quite possibly the nicest things I have ever heard. Any girl would die to have their boyfriend or husband say these things about them; and yet if they did, it would still seem forced. When Ryan talks like this, he means it, and you know he means it. It’s genuine. Lauren has a huge heart and her love for Ryan is as clear as day. You will also quickly learn of Lauren’s love for Jesus. You soon realize that she lives this life of love day in and day out. I am honored to have had the chance to meet both of them and share in their wedding day. I love how it turned out. You will laugh at the story telling how they met, and cry when you hear them talk about each other.
It was a cold, windy day in Nashville. They braved the cold to do their first look at a park just south of the city. Following this we headed to Scarritt Bennett, which is located on Vanderbilt’s campus. Wightman Chapel is absolutely beautiful and was perfect for their very emotional ceremony. Ryan couldn’t hold it together as Lauren finally came down the aisle. You can see her mouth ‘I love you’ as she is walking towards him. Ryan was a wreck… so sweet to see!
Following the ceremony we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame, located in the heart of Nashville. They were in an amazing space on the top floor with huge windows looking out on the city. They had a custom chandelier made with crystals cascading down from it’s box shape. Those same crystals trickled down behind the band as they entertained all the guests. They caught the light just right and sparkled in the background as people danced and enjoyed their evening.
I later found out that after everyone had left, Lauren and Ryan gathered all the flowers into the center of the dance floor and sat among them, sharing their first moment in privacy as husband and wife.
