Amy + Jeff

Where do I begin? This was by far the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to.  I have been to California multiple times, but never to wine country.  It is without a doubt some of the prettiest countryside I have ever laid eyes on.  Sonoma was just fantastic.  By the end of the first night, I was already picturing myself living there.  If given the opportunity, I could easily pick up and move my family there without hesitation.  It is that nice.  I would most likely only be able to afford a yurt though…

Amy and Jeff found me online and liked my work enough to fly me across the country to join them.  Every aspect of the day was perfectly planned and executed.  Major kudos to Jamie with A Savvy Event for keeping everything on track!  The wedding took place at an adorable little white church and the reception followed at the Sonoma Golf Club, just down the road.  Dinner was held outside, under a huge tree, and the rest of the night happened inside.  Unfortunately you don’t get to see all the details from the inside reception in this video.  It was just too much to cram into 5 minutes!  I had the pleasure of working with Mike Larson and his wife, Rachel.  I saw Mike’s work years ago and was instantly attracted to it.  Getting to shoot side by side with him was an honor.  He is amazing at what he does. Book him. If he is booked already, book me! haha

To top it all off, we were given an amazing sunset, wherein the reds in the sky lasted for more than 10 minutes.  Their wedding day just so happened to be the last day of my 30th year.  The next day I would turn 31.  In my 30 years of life, this was the best sunset I have seen. What a way to end it!

I hope I was able to capture even just a glimpse of the beauty I experienced when I was out there.  Pictures and video still do not do the day justice!

Amy and Nick – Short Film
Had a wonderful time shooting Amy and Nick's April wedding. The two of them have very big hearts for each other and their families. Family from all over the world came to witness the event, and not one left unsatisfied. The attention to detail was spectacular and no single thing was looked over in the planning of the day. It was great to be a part of all of it, and share in a very memorable day for these two. Best of luck in Minnesota!

New Years
My good friend Carl has a cabin in southern Ohio that is over a 100 years old. It was the perfect place to spend New Years eve. A bunch of friends. No TV. Games. Drinks. Laughs. And some wood chopping. This is the first video I ever made with my 5D MkII. I just shot a lot of random stuff. When I got home and saw the footage, I thought it would be cool to edit a video to 'Big Rock Candy Mountain'... which I had heard on 'Oh Brother Where Art Thou' Although the footage isn't a little shaky... and rather random... I think the fun of the day comes across really well. A side note on the song: I love the fact that even though he slips and says ' ...
