Wedding Video at SmogShoppe in Southern CA | Maura + Matthew

I had so much fun spending the weekend with Maura and Matthew in Southern California this past August. They are such a kind, enthusiastic, and caring couple and I knew going into it that the day would be special. Their venue, SmogShoppe played a very important part of the day and separated us from the buzz of the city. It is a little oasis in the land of concrete.

The Culver Hotel is where everyone stayed and got ready. It is a historic hotel on the west side of Los Angeles. This is the hotel that the entire cast of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ slept when they were filming that movie. Word on the street is that they had multiple munchkins in each room, sleeping 3 to a bed. I may have slept in the same bed the lollipop gang did. The hotel has several very unique rooms which allowed us to get some creative shots while they got ready. It was such a cool spot, we returned after the ceremony to get more of the two of them together.

The reception took place at SmogShoppe, a former smog shop converted into a cool, eclectic venue. You would never know from the outside what was housed on the inside. It was a very intimate night, with some of the best food I have ever had at a wedding. Typical of the Hollywood area, a movie was played on one of the walls and created a very cool feel to the dance floor. ‘Point Break’ was the movie of the night.

I am so thankful Maura and Matt brought me out to film their day. I love how the film turned out and know it is something special that they will cherish the rest of their lives!

Here is another wedding I shot at Millwick, a sister venue owned by Marvimon.

And this is a wedding film I shot up North in Sonoma!

Kauai, Hawaii Wedding Video and Photography | Melissa + Sam
I was so excited when Melissa and Sam hired me to shoot their Hawaii Wedding.  For one, I had never been to Hawaii, it is the only state I had not been to. Yep, I have been to all the other states, including Alaska. Me and 5 other guys drove a Honda Odyssey from Ohio to Alaska and back in 5 days back in 2006, but that is another story.  Besides getting to finally go to Hawaii, I was getting to go to what I have heard to be the best of the islands, Kauai.  Besides going to Kauai and shooting the wedding, I was going to get to hang out with them for the whole week and join them on all sorts of fun activities. Our first day had us viewing the s ...

Isole Di Brissago Wedding Film | Switzerland | Bettina + Martin
Where do I begin?  I have been fortunate enough to visit many places in the world, yet I found myself speechless many times this past July as I visited Switzerland for the very first time.  Bettina found my work on YouTube and sent me a kind note about the films I have created and mentioned that she wished I could come film her wedding.  She had no idea if I would even be able to travel.  The second I saw the email I quickly googled the location, 'Isole di Brissago,' and after seeing just three photos knew that I wanted to be a part of this celebration.  We began preparations.  This one would be a little different for me.  It was going to be ...

Jillian + Michael
High Line Car House Wedding Jill and Mike are such a great couple. I am so glad they chose me to shoot a wedding film for them. From the minute I met them back at that Starbucks, I knew that their day would be special. Mike designed a ring for Jill to wear on her right hand that used stones from his grandmother's ring. His grandmother wanted Jill to have it after she passed away. Jill had no idea about this until she received the ring, and heard its story just moments before the ceremony. Watching her receive that ring is one of the best moments I have ever filmed. I teared up multiple times while editing this film when I got to t ...
