Wedding Video and Photography at Beverly Mansion in Central Ohio | CHRISTINA + DAVID

When I was first contacted to shoot a wedding at Beverly Mansion I thought, “where the heck is it and what is the Beverly Mansion?” I had never heard of it, even though I have been doing wedding photography and videos for years. I learned that it was in Ohio, not too far from me. After doing some digging I discovered it was in Marengo county and was an absolutely gorgeous property. On top of all of this, I learned that the soon to be bride and groom had a connection to the location. Christina’s grandmother actually grew up at Beverly Mansion and still lives here in Central Ohio. Even better news, her grandmother is still in good health and would be able to attend her granddaughter’s wedding at the house she grew up at. It was really special. Christina’s grandmother was full of spunk and had everyone laughing.

Both Christina and David have extremely good taste. Christina is a designer at a major fashion retailer and David is a florist. I knew going into this wedding that it was going to look stunning and that no detail would be unattended. I was not disappointed. Everything had a personal touch and thought had been put into it. The ceremony was held inside the Beverly Mansion within a narrow but tall room originally made for concerts. There was a balcony where a string quartet played. Down in front of a large window, the bride and groom said their vows, as sunlight poured through the glass. A large chandelier hung in the middle of the ceiling.

After the ceremony all the guests made their way out back for cocktails, and then the reception to follow. Long wooden tables were situated between two enormous Oak trees. Lights were strung between them. The setting was perfect. We had lovely weather, making for a beautiful dinner. Toasts were given in the dimming light.

We crossed the bridge spanning a pond in the back of the property and captured some nice moments of David and Christina, with the party in the background just after the sun set. Lights were twinkling. Soon after this, the moon rose and the dancing begun. We returned indoors for them to cut the cake in a great room with a magnificent fireplace. Instead of cake, they cut pies, which were all amazing.

The night ended with dancing and laughter under the stars. Such an amazing day!

Tom and Kaleigh
Tom and Kaleigh had a wonderful group of people surrounding them on their big day. It was great to see such a large crowd having so much fun all day and all night. I could tell how big of a day this was both for both of the families, and despite their limo driver heading to the wrong city (and I mean WRONG city.... 45 miles away wrong)... and some rain threatening the early part of the day, everything went off without a hitch and they sailed smoothly to the end... and then some. Last I saw them they were headed to the bar afterwards. Poor Kaleigh was so tired, but you could tell she wanted to make the most of it. I love the photos in front o ...

Jayce and Kristin
Jayce and Kristin..... I knew from the very first time I talked with Kristin that I was going to have a lot of fun at their wedding. Jayce and Kristin love life... and are not afraid to have some fun. But, they were not all jokes. There was a real sense of how special this day really was. After Jayce teared up just standing next to his grandparents for some formal shots, I knew he had a big heart. Kristin was not without her share of tears... but it is always nice to see the guys get emotional. Thankfully they were willing to jog a good 4 Iron's distance UPHILL to get what I think are the best shots of the day with the tree. I think Jayce c ...

Kyle and Kellie – Hilton Head
There is something to be said about a family that welcomes you into theirs as if you have known them your whole life. Although I had yet to ever meet this couple, or their families, they went out of their way to make my wife and I feel like we were a part of the gang. We were invited to their house in a plantation the night before and we had a lot of fun spending the evening casually with them. It's nice to be a part of such a special day when you don't feel like you are just a vendor, but a guest. It's days like these that make me think the world isn't so bad after all! The day went off without a hitch, despite a nasty storm cell threatenin ...
