Wedding Video and Photography at Beverly Mansion in Central Ohio | CHRISTINA + DAVID

When I was first contacted to shoot a wedding at Beverly Mansion I thought, “where the heck is it and what is the Beverly Mansion?” I had never heard of it, even though I have been doing wedding photography and videos for years. I learned that it was in Ohio, not too far from me. After doing some digging I discovered it was in Marengo county and was an absolutely gorgeous property. On top of all of this, I learned that the soon to be bride and groom had a connection to the location. Christina’s grandmother actually grew up at Beverly Mansion and still lives here in Central Ohio. Even better news, her grandmother is still in good health and would be able to attend her granddaughter’s wedding at the house she grew up at. It was really special. Christina’s grandmother was full of spunk and had everyone laughing.

Both Christina and David have extremely good taste. Christina is a designer at a major fashion retailer and David is a florist. I knew going into this wedding that it was going to look stunning and that no detail would be unattended. I was not disappointed. Everything had a personal touch and thought had been put into it. The ceremony was held inside the Beverly Mansion within a narrow but tall room originally made for concerts. There was a balcony where a string quartet played. Down in front of a large window, the bride and groom said their vows, as sunlight poured through the glass. A large chandelier hung in the middle of the ceiling.

After the ceremony all the guests made their way out back for cocktails, and then the reception to follow. Long wooden tables were situated between two enormous Oak trees. Lights were strung between them. The setting was perfect. We had lovely weather, making for a beautiful dinner. Toasts were given in the dimming light.

We crossed the bridge spanning a pond in the back of the property and captured some nice moments of David and Christina, with the party in the background just after the sun set. Lights were twinkling. Soon after this, the moon rose and the dancing begun. We returned indoors for them to cut the cake in a great room with a magnificent fireplace. Instead of cake, they cut pies, which were all amazing.

The night ended with dancing and laughter under the stars. Such an amazing day!

Blake & Chelsea – Vermont
Blake and Chelsea are good friends of mine and I was honored to be able to shoot their wedding. The setting was in a charming old town in Vermont where Chelsea grew up. They had their ceremony in a historic theater with lots of character. I wish I had a little more time with them to take advantage of all the town had to offer, but the weather was not cooperative.  All in all it was a great day and I really enjoyed meeting their families. Best to the both of you!

Erica + Nick
This was the first wedding I shot where the groom was in uniform. It was an honor to capture the day for them. They were absolutely beautiful together. A lot of couples struggle with the 'non smiling' photos.. these two were naturals and made my job extremely easy! Nick and Erica had their first look at Schiller Park and we went on from there. We were able to get some amazing shots at the park and also in a park just south of The Westin, where their wedding was held. In the evening we stepped out for a few photos in the dark with the city lights. When you have a December wedding in Ohio, there is a good chance the weather will not coope ...

Country Music Hall of Fame Wedding Video | Nashville, TN | Katie + Kendall
This was my second time shooting a wedding in Nashville and it just so happened to be almost a carbon copy of the first time I filmed in the Music City.  The bride and groom got married in the same chapel and had their reception at the Country Music Hall of Fame, just like the first couple.   Let me talk a little bit about Katie and Kendall.  These two were amazing. I met them on Friday at the chapel for the rehearsal. I had yet to meet them in person and had only been in touch with them via email.  Katie was very sweet and made sure everything was okay with me getting in.  When I met Kendall, I knew within seconds that this guy was a good d ...
