Wedding Video and Photography at Beverly Mansion in Central Ohio | CHRISTINA + DAVID

When I was first contacted to shoot a wedding at Beverly Mansion I thought, “where the heck is it and what is the Beverly Mansion?” I had never heard of it, even though I have been doing wedding photography and videos for years. I learned that it was in Ohio, not too far from me. After doing some digging I discovered it was in Marengo county and was an absolutely gorgeous property. On top of all of this, I learned that the soon to be bride and groom had a connection to the location. Christina’s grandmother actually grew up at Beverly Mansion and still lives here in Central Ohio. Even better news, her grandmother is still in good health and would be able to attend her granddaughter’s wedding at the house she grew up at. It was really special. Christina’s grandmother was full of spunk and had everyone laughing.

Both Christina and David have extremely good taste. Christina is a designer at a major fashion retailer and David is a florist. I knew going into this wedding that it was going to look stunning and that no detail would be unattended. I was not disappointed. Everything had a personal touch and thought had been put into it. The ceremony was held inside the Beverly Mansion within a narrow but tall room originally made for concerts. There was a balcony where a string quartet played. Down in front of a large window, the bride and groom said their vows, as sunlight poured through the glass. A large chandelier hung in the middle of the ceiling.

After the ceremony all the guests made their way out back for cocktails, and then the reception to follow. Long wooden tables were situated between two enormous Oak trees. Lights were strung between them. The setting was perfect. We had lovely weather, making for a beautiful dinner. Toasts were given in the dimming light.

We crossed the bridge spanning a pond in the back of the property and captured some nice moments of David and Christina, with the party in the background just after the sun set. Lights were twinkling. Soon after this, the moon rose and the dancing begun. We returned indoors for them to cut the cake in a great room with a magnificent fireplace. Instead of cake, they cut pies, which were all amazing.

The night ended with dancing and laughter under the stars. Such an amazing day!

Myles and Jennifer – Wedding Film
Jennifer is all laughs, and it is hard to be in the same room with her without smiling. She just has that affect on you. Myles is a stand up guy and I knew the minute I met him that he was classy and well spoken gentleman. The day could not have been much better for this wedding. The wedding took place in my hometown of Delaware, with the reception taking place at Delaware's pride and joy (sorry Rutherford B. Hayes)... the Little Brown Jug. I had no wedding videos in 2011, so I was a bit rusty. I forgot how heavy all the equipment was, and how much harder it was to go from point A to point B. In the end I feel this is my best wedding video ...

Lianne + Nate
Nate and Lianne got hosed weather-wise on their wedding day. The days before and after were not too bad, but on their day, it rained, snowed, sleeted, and most likely hailed at some point. Plus it was in the low 30s with 30mph winds. Not the spring wedding they had in mind. Despite all of this... they kept their heads up and enjoyed the day thoroughly! It was a blast to hang out with these two and be a part of their wedding, damp or not!

Jillian + Michael
High Line Car House Wedding Jill and Mike are such a great couple. I am so glad they chose me to shoot a wedding film for them. From the minute I met them back at that Starbucks, I knew that their day would be special. Mike designed a ring for Jill to wear on her right hand that used stones from his grandmother's ring. His grandmother wanted Jill to have it after she passed away. Jill had no idea about this until she received the ring, and heard its story just moments before the ceremony. Watching her receive that ring is one of the best moments I have ever filmed. I teared up multiple times while editing this film when I got to t ...
